Club meetings start again on the 12th September 2017 and will continue on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, as usual.
Programme until end of May 2018
12th Sept - ‘Back to Basics’ A refresher on the basics of exposure, focusing, depth of field etc. Bring along camera kit and manuals.
26th Sept - Review of the Exhibition Critique of members’ entries, and thoughts on our future exhibitions.
10th Oct - Practical Evening with water droplets and coloured glass. Bring cameras and tripods.
24th Oct - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - with light refreshments to tempt everyone along! Followedby a show of members’ digital summer snaps. Please submit these in advance by email, or on usb sticks.
14th Nov - Open Q&A discussion, followed by session on resizing photos. Please email your questions to the committee in advance.
28th Nov - ‘In the Style of’ Presentation of members’ results from creating images ‘in the style of’ a well known photographer, past or present.
12th Dec - Christmas Social Drinks and partyish nibbles, plus a ‘Photo ID Quiz’. Please bring along some photos of yourself in your more youthful years! Are you recognizable?! Please also bring a plate of snacks/crisps/nuts/similar, and something for the raffle
9th Jan - Useful Accessories , Gadgets & Filters and how to make the most of them.
23rd Jan - Portrait Evening using Strobe Lights/Speedlight. Demo on producing portraits using a single strobe light or Speedlight, plus using a reflector. Bring camera kit to this session.
13th Feb - Practical Evening Glass against a white background using softboxes. Cameras and tripods required.
27th Feb - Producing Photo-books online, with completed examples to compare, plus looking at ancestry sites for compiling family trees. If you have examples of photobooks, please bring them along.
13th Mar - Painting with Light plus post processing and multiple images.
27th Mar - Can You Ever Have Too Many Gadgets? National Trust Ranger Lisa Trownson presents time-lapse, action-cam & trail-cam photography.
10th April - Restoring Old Photographs Healing and scanning old deteriorated family photos , reducing effects such as age cracks and low contrast etc.
24th April - Smartphone & Tablet Photography with photo editing software Snapseed & Lightroom on line, plus Instagram and tagging.
8th May - Practical Evening—Flower Photography A new look at ways to photograph flowers. Bring cameras and tripods.
22nd May - Street Photography with a potential follow-up field trip this summer.
There are no formal meetings in June, July & August.
